Muneeza is a young Diabetes patient at Indus Hospital, Korangi Campus, Outpatient department. She is of college going age. About a year ago she was brought to Indus and fainted at the entrance. She was rushed into emergency where she was stabilized and placed in the ICU for 5 days. Once discharged she has been coming to the Korangi Campus for regular check-ups and treatment at the Diabetes clinic. Both she and her mother are very grateful and speak highly of Indus saying that it is a lot better than other hospitals both in their expertise, quality of services, and treatment of staff. Before Indus, she had developed a wound in her thigh that slowly worsened over time. Although she went to many clinics and hospitals, none of them bothered to check her blood glucose and gave her treatments that did not work. Muneeza is a university student studying Pharmacy and a resident of Karachi. (Patient Story). She is completely healthy now, way different from the fatigued and stick-thin girl who first came to Indus. Under the guidance of the staff at Indus Muneeza's diet has also improved and her insulin requirement has lessened.
